In a partnership with the City of Sydney, the DG Alliance Green Square Stormwater Drainage Project involves the construction of a 2.4km underground stormwater drain that connect from Link Road, Zetland to the existing stormwater canal in Alexandria to reduce flooding in the previous floodplain.

Scope of works

The Green Square Stormwater Drainage Project works include:

  • Construction of the 2.4km underground stormwater drain from Zetland to Alexandria
  • Replacement of the Huntley Street Bridge
  • Renewal of the area surrounding the Alexandria Canal for public use
