Main North and North Shore Corridor Works (MNNSC)

Project Profile:

The Main North and North Shore Corridor Works (MNNSC) Project involves enabling works for the NSW Government’s Sydney Metro project. The project includes an increase of capacity to allow for 20 trains per hour to run between Hornsby and North Sydney, and to transition the ECRL to Sydney Metro. In addition, the works involve realignment of the T1 North Shore Line between Chatswood and Artarmon, to accommodate the new Sydney Metro track and the Chatswood tunneling dive site.

Scope of works

The MNNSC Project works include:

  • Construction of OHW footings and upgrades to existing infrastructure
  • Water detention basin construction and drainage improvement works
  • Construction of new noise walls and retaining walls
  • Demolition of Nelson Street bridge
  • Removal of Hopetoun Ave rail corridor access ramp
  • North Shore Line track realignment
